PRESCHOOL MINISTRY (Birth - 4 yrs. old)

Our vision statement:  "Partnering with families to reach and teach children the love of Christ in such a way that they have the greatest opportunity to become followers of Christ."

Our core values... because we believe that God created us for a relationship with Him and one another we believe:

  • Every child is a gift from God
  • It is important to provide a safe, child-centered environment.  The Bible is God's Word and should be taught in a manner that is relevant and/or age appropriate to the child.  Preschool Ministry should be fun, creative and implemented with excellence.
  • Parental partnership is essential to the success of children's ministry
  • Equipping and empowering adult and student staff is necessary to children.
  • It is important to model and emulate by adults and children biblical truths.

Some of our annual events are:  Vacation Bible School, Easter Eggstravaganza, Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad and the Fall Festival.

Rock Solid for three & four year olds starts at 6pm every Sunday night.  The preschoolers sing, play and hear the word of God!

Preschool Childcare is available during each worship service.

YOUTH MINISTRY (6th Grade - 12th Grade)

Middle school and high school is such an important time in the lives of students.    They are forming their identity in Christ and learning how to establish their own relationship with God.  We want each student to understand that they are loved by God, created for a purpose, and have a place of service in the body of Christ.  Our goal is that they come to "know God and live to make Him known."

Youth Gathering is every Wednesday evening at 6pm at THE ROC.... PIZZA SERVED!  We have our own Youth Service with basketball and games to follow.

Sunday Morning Small Group and Breakfast at 9:15 am each Sunday morning in the Youth Room at the ROC.

Youth Impact is every Sunday evening at 6pm!  Join us in Classroom B201.  Student Intern Chad Hester leads in Bible Study!!

YOUNG AT HEART MINISTRY

Our Young at Heart Ministry exists to connect and encourage seniors through fellowship and ministry.  Our Seniors serve in our Bereavement Ministry and our Evans County Food Bank Ministry.  Seniors have a variety of options for Bible Study on Sunday Mornings:  Ladies Classes, Men's Class and a Coed Class that includes an opening assembly with praise and worship.  A monthly fellowship is held along with outings throughout the year!

MUSIC MINISTRY

The People of Praise exists for these reasons:

1.  To be "lead worshipers" in the worship service.. LIFT HIM UP!

2.  To present special music each week that exalts the Savior, enhances the preaching of God's Word, engages the saved, and encourages the lost to receive Christ.

3.  To provide two seasonal cantatas (Christmas and Easter) that will be an evangelistic outreach to people in the community.

4.  To be a united group that prays for the worship services, the pastor, the lost people in the community, and the prayer concerns of each others.

5.  To encourage one another to edify the Body by using his/her spiritual gifts and talents.  Soloist and special groups are often discovered in the choir.

We are blessed to have a talented group of young adults who lead us in praise and worship on Sunday Mornings.  The Praise Band incorporates contemporary and traditional songs.  Sunday Evenings have more of a traditional music style.  Whether it be... traditional or contemporary, our desire is to exalt our Lord and Savior.  GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULNESS!
